It’s hard to believe that 2018 is drawing to a close. We hope it was a great year for you and your family. As for Ford, 2018 was a year of looking toward the future. Here is some of the biggest Ford news from 2018.

Ford Co-Pilot360™

March marked Ford’s introduction of active safety features called Ford Co-Pilot360™. It includes the following features:  a lane keeping system, a blind spot information system, and automatic emergency braking. It debuted in the fall on the 2019 Ford Edge.

Michigan Central Station

In June, Ford announced that it had purchased the iconic, yet dilapidated, Michigan Central Station. Ford plans to restore and redevelop the building for offices, retail space, restaurants, and residential space.

10 Millionth Mustang

On Aug. 8, Ford celebrated the production of the 10 millionth Mustang. This model was a 2019 Wimbledon White GT V8 built at Ford’s Flat Rock Assembly Plant in Michigan. It matches the first serialized Mustang (VIN 001) down to the same color and model.

2019 Ford Ranger

Coming out early next year is the all-new 2019 Ford Ranger. Ford celebrated the start of production for this redesigned model in October.
