There’s always the latest gadget to check out: smartphones, mp3 players, tablets, and everything in between. If you told manufacturers in the 1970s that their cars would be competing for the best computers someday, they might give you a funny look. But today, automobiles are doing amazing things with technology. One of the most well-reviewed, usable interfaces is that by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA).
FCA Uconnect debuted way back in 2003. Since then, drivers have enjoyed using it, finding it easy to navigate, reliable and more functional compared to other infotainment systems. But recently, FCA made it known that a new Uconnect was heading to the markets in the near future. FCA demonstrated the new and improved Uconnect at Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas at the beginning of this year, showing it off in a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica minivan.

The new FCA Uconnect will be managed on an 8.4-inch color touch screen. Sharper graphics will make it even easier to read and use, as will faster startup and processing. This new Uconnect will also be Apple CarPlay- and Android Auto-compatible. With these, users can connect their smartphones to the screen and control familiar apps, media libraries and contacts through the Uconnect screen. Suddenly, sending a text with voice command is as easy as turning on the ignition!
