Three Ford nameplates led their respective segments in the latest J.D. Power Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study: The C-MAX, Expedition, and F-150.
The J.D. Power APEAL Study is the industry benchmark for new-vehicle appeal. Based on customer surveys examining 77 different vehicle attributes after consumers have owned their vehicles for 90 days, the study uses survey responses to determine the vehicles that are most gratifying to own and drive, and then ranks overall brands on a 1,000 point scale.
The C-MAX was ranked highest in the compact multi-purpose vehicle segment, the Expedition led in the large SUV segment, and, for the second year running, the F-150 led the large light duty pickup category.
In addition, Ford was rated among the top non-premium brands overall with 798 points, 8 ahead of the non-premium industry average and marking a 9 point improvement over last year. Every year, it seems Ford vehicles just keep getting better and better! We hope you’ll check out the C-MAX, Expedition, and F-150 at Hometown Motors!
