September was Ford Global Caring Month, and thousands of Ford employees volunteered worldwide to support and build stronger communities and improve the lives of neighbors. Over 10,000 Ford employees participated across 40 countries, truly making a global impact.
While different countries and cities took different initiatives, they all were devoted to making people’s lives better. Efforts included providing greater access to clean water for rural communities, building homes for families, and expanding critical community services in under-resourced neighborhoods. To support such admirable projects, Ford contributed over $700,000 in supplies.
Just as Ford is dedicated to bettering communities and improving people’s lives, so is Hometown Motors. Here are a few examples of our own recent volunteer efforts, which we will continue in the future.
Bikes for Kids
In 2017, we ran a bike drive to collect bikes for children. To bolster the impact of the drive, we donated $50 to it each time we sold a new or used vehicle.
Hometown Dealerships Community Gala
For nearly 30 years, our auto group has thrown an annual community gala – featuring local restaurants and live music performances – to raise money for local charities and families in need.
Hometown Community Golf Scramble
Every September, we host a golf scramble, with all proceeds going to local charities and families.
At Hometown Motors, we’re wholly dedicated to serving our local community and making it the very best it can be for our community members.
