Something diesel this way comes. And boy, have truck-lovers been waiting patiently for it. The much-anticipated and very exciting Ford F-150 diesel truck is almost here. This is Ford’s first light-duty diesel truck in 70 years, and will join just one other light duty pickup truck available on the market.
The new 2018 Ford F-150 diesel pickup will be equipped with the new Ford-made 10-speed automatic transmission that first came out in the 2017 Ford Raptor. The transmission will be paired with the long-awaited Power Stroke 3.0-liter V6 engine. This all-new powertrain does not yet have power or fuel economy ratings for us to goggle at, but still, Ford- and truck-lovers should enjoy what it has to offer, especially those who use the Ford F-150 for towing purposes.

In addition to the new diesel option, the 2018 Ford F-150 will also offer four new and updated gasoline engines to choose from. On the outside, a fresh design gives the front end and tailgate of the new F-150 an updated, rugged appearance, while the 2018 Ford F-150 will also boast some new technology, like automatic emergency braking that can sense pedestrians, plus adaptive cruise control which helps take some of the pressure off so that the driver can enjoy the ride.
