The Jeep Wrangler line has been a popular option for drivers around the country for years, offering excellent off-roading capabilities and a versatile driving experience, and now – rumor has it – Jeep is looking to make a more powerful version of the model, the Jeep Wrangler Fighter.
According to Automotive News, it’s extremely likely that Jeep is working on a pseudo-rival to the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon – perhaps dubbed the Jeep Wrangler Fighter – which would not hit the market until at least 2020.
The large SUV segment has increased in popularity each year, as larger families opt for models that are powerful, safe, and more and more fuel-efficient with each year’s lineup. This increase is no doubt a large influence in Jeep’s planning.
